OAK UPVC WINDOWS
UPVC windows outperform timber windows in every respect and they can be given a wood-like effect.
Until UPVC came around, you had little option but to have wooden windows, so we’re extremely thankful that UPVC came into being. However, what you cannot dispute is that, initially, timber windows have real charm. That charm can be emulated with UPVC windows just by having them finished in a Golden Oak woodgrain, as was requested by this householder.
You’d find it difficult to distinguish them from real wooden windows, and even the new front door has a more than discernible likeness to an equivalent door built from timber.
Anyone sleeping in the bedroom with the French doors will be stimulated to use them so that they can fully take in the magnificent view behind them. The composite door in the front entrance is equally impressive, as is the amazing detailing in each of the window frames. Zoom in on this detailing and you would still be convinced that it’s timber. Each window and door also have hardware that’s well-suited to their style.
One set of French doors wasn’t enough for the rear, so we put two sets in to establish a patio and garden opening that had absolutely no limitations. In some people’s minds, they will regard the made-to-measure UPVC upstairs as being the most impressive feat in the whole of the project, and who are we to disagree?
