It’s easy to believe that the windows are made of individual glass pieces – the leaded effect gives you that impression. On the inside of each window is an immaculately crafted handle, one that looks very similar to the type of handles found on most traditional leaded designs. The handle makes window operation easy, as do the handles on the French doors, which can be used to make a generous double opening. We managed to integrate them into a compact aperture and when ajar, it opens the house into the maze-like garden, an area that regularly gets explored. The foliage that grows around the windows makes them even more characterful and gives them that extra emphasis.
