The last thing you want to happen when extending your home with an orangery is for it to spoil the original look of the house. Far from spoiling things, this orangery has hugely boosted its appearance, to the point where you could easily believe that the orangery is an ever-present feature.
It helps that it has been finished in a traditional Golden Oak finish, just like the various windows and doors, and has largely a brick-built structure. You couldn’t wish for a cosier space to snuggle up on the sofas.
French doors have been affixed into the orangery to enable the occupants to run free of the space into the garden whenever they get the urge to. They include elegant side panels so that when the doors are shut, as much natural light as possible is enticed into the extension. Opposite them is another set of French doors so that a stylish exit back into the house can be made.
Just like during the daytime, the spotlights inside the internal pelmet shine a light on the window ledges which have been accessorised with several attractive ornaments. No other colour option but Golden Oak was considered for the guttering and piping or the decorative peak – why would it be?
