GLASS TO FLOOR CONSERVATORY
You’re permitted to have more glass than normal in a conservatory, if you want it. Get a glass-to-floor design.
Make the most of any view you will have from your new conservatory by requesting a glass-to-floor design. As you can see here, the glass almost stretches from the top to the bottom of the conservatory, and in the little bit of framework that there is, very prolonged panes of glass have been added.
With this almost fully glazed surround inevitably comes a gorgeously bright interior, which is what makes it such a tempting place to spend your time. Any move towards the garden can be done by using the French doors, with a low threshold added to ensure of a safe exit.
It’s a very multi-purpose conservatory, one that’s used for chilling out, eating dinner and working away from the office. You’ll often find the occupants in there late into the night and you can’t miss them when they are as the energy efficient spotlights brilliantly illuminate the interior.
The perimeter pelmet is very dense and with good reason. It needed to be that way if we were going to be able to put the full height glass panels in there. If you’re apprehensive about having so much glass in case it makes the space overheat, the homeowner will tell you that it’s something they’ve never experienced.
