REPLACEMENT TILED ROOF CONSERVATORY
Just by changing roofing systems, we can make even the oldest conservatories as good as they’ve ever been.
Not for one second did we contemplate starting from scratch with this conservatory – we didn’t need to! Our installation team knew that fitting a replacement tiled roof and new UPVC windows would be enough to revive the conservatory, and so it proved. The roof is extremely lightweight, but the old windows were taken out to be sure that the structure could hold the roof’s weight.
It’s hard to even tell that the roof is brand-new as you’d swear it was the original covering. Immediately after we left the house, the occupants decided to turn it into a combined dining and lounge area, which made sense with it being connected to the kitchen. If you look up inside, you won’t miss the roof window or the spotlights inside the internal pelmet.
New guttering was also added in preparation for the addition of the new roof as the old guttering had badly aged and underperformed. As a backup for those exceptionally cold winters, a fireplace was built into the design, which will offer extra insulation on top of the cosiness that comes from the ravishing new roofing system.
