ORANGERY WITH ULTRAROOF
When all looked lost with this orangery, it received a new lease of life from the instant it was fitted with the incredible UltraRoof.
We can safely say that this orangery’s best days looked firmly behind it when we turned up to replace the current roof. Now, the opposite is true, and it almost looks brand-new again following the addition of the UltraRoof. Partly prefabricated, the lightweight tiles / slates have made it fully energy efficient, just like it used to be.
Three glass panels were also incorporated into the covering to ensure that it continues to receive enough natural light. As soon as the sun goes down, any users of the orangery just switch on the discreet spotlights so that they can carry on lounging, cooking and eating.
Assimilating new windows and doors into the orangery was also part of the project and keen to imitate a wood effect, the householder opted for a Golden Oak finish, one that will never wear away. Like the orangery itself, the outdoor patio also now receives more attention after French doors were built into the extension. But, let’s talk more about the glass panels in the UltraRoof.
